Hi, I’m Melissa — founder of Crown and Crook, LLC, laser-loving creative, veteran, mom of two, and big believer in the magic of making things by hand.

After years of working as an aircraft electrician, I found myself craving something more personal, more creative, and more connected to people. I’ve always loved crafting, but once I discovered the world of laser-cutting and DIY workshops, something clicked. I saw how creativity could bring people together—how a simple night of painting or burning a design into a hat could spark joy, conversation, and connection. That’s when Crown and Crook was born.

What started as a side hustle selling engraved gifts at local markets has grown into a mobile creative studio. Our events are designed to be more than just craft nights—they’re a chance to slow down, laugh, create, and walk away with something that feels meaningful.

We're a woman- and veteran-owned business proudly rooted in San Antonio, and we love collaborating with local venues like breweries, boutiques, and coffee shops to bring creativity into the community.
